The
grace of God continues to bless, and as we grow in truth, we
experience God's love. In these troubling times, God is in charge.
He alone is sovereign, for exultation comes neither from east, nor
from the west, nor the south, but God is the judge. he puts down
one, and exalts another.
Jesus said "In the world you will have tribulation but be of
good cheer. I have over come the world. Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Let
not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid". I will never
leave you nor forsake you".
The Risen Christ, our hope of resurrection Paul stated
"If in the manner of men, I have fought with beast at Ephesus, what
advantage is it to me, if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and
drink, for tomorrow we die".
Wednesday 11:00 A.M. Sessions
The class is groping with the final segment of Ezekiel - 40
-48, Israel in the land during the Kingdom age; a major Prophet Book
of the Old Testament, the prophet of vision, apostasy, idolatry and
rebellion. The withdrawal of God's spirit led to death, exile of
Jews and destruction of the temple. The book emphasizes, that
Jehovah is Holy, and the Sanctification of Jehovah's name is most
important, and the importance of obedience in God. Every nation
shall know that I am Jehovah. The hope for restored nationhood and
temple, profound belief in the coming of a Messiah, symbols of
spiritual insight of the eternal future.
Wednesday 7:30 P.M. Sessions
The class is studying God's Holy word, chapter by chapter,
with commentary from throughout the Bible in one year by Alan B.
Strongfellow. The class finished the Pauline Epistles of the New
Testament. The Book of James is the first group of letters called
the General Epistles James, the servant of Jesus Christ. and half
brother, and brother of Jude. James wrote letters to Hebrew
Christians, twelve tribes scattered abroad.
Practical and authentic Christian faith must be shared
through work and deeds. Faith is lined out by sharing and helping
one another. James also encourages his reader to stand fast in face
of trials. James witnessed Brother Jesus' concerns for those who
were in need. Perhaps this is why James appeals to us not to be
simply hearers of the word, but doers, in attitude and action (read
Matthew 25:35-40).
Be
Christ like. Stand fast in face of trial, exercise patience,
reaching for God's promise of the crown of life in God's kingdom.
